Zills (cymbals)
ZILLS;
Lambros Liavas
84 cm x 84 cm x 60 cm (Cymbal diameter: 79-80 mm and 82-84 mm, metal sheet thickness: ~0.1 mm, cymbal height: 30 mm.)
Forged metal zills, pair, 79-80 and 82-84 mm in diameter. They form concentric circles at different levels on their outer surface, thus creating a cavity at their inner side. They have a hole in their centre, through which a wire forming a loop is passed. A leather strap is tied to the loops, used to connect the two zills, but it has been cut off. On the inner side of one of the discs there is an inscription in relief, reading: “GREECE”.
