Wooden souravli, with vertically cut mouthpiece, 405 mm in length, with 6 finger holes on the front side. It bears dense engraved, debossed and painted decoration consisting of rings, coloured geometric patterns and designs of birds, plant shoots and vegetal patterns. It also bears an engraved inscription: ΔΗ. ΚΑΡΑΥΤΑΚΗΣ. ΔΟΥΜΠΙΑ. / 1961". The mouthpiece is wrapped with wire placed in a groove to reinforce the wooden wall. The instrument is covered with coloured varnish.
