Laouto from Constantinople, 950 mm in length, probably made by Emmanouil Venios (?) in Constantinople. It has a headstock with 7 keys and an equal number of strings (4 plastic and 3 gut strings). The instrument has a bone bridge, 11 gut berdes, a pickguard and a wooden saddle, the ends of which form peacock heads in relief. Its body consists of 19 ribs and has inlaid wooden bindings in a wavy shape. It is densely decorated with inlaid vegetal patterns and designs, made of ivory and tortoise shell. An inlaid star with a crescent moon next to it can also be seen on the top of its body.
