The 2 pairs consist of simple strings, while the third pair combines a simple and a wound string. The instrument has: a bone bridge, 17 metal berdes, 1 inlaid disc-shaped finger placement guide made of shell, a small sound hole on the top, a sound hole on the side of the body in the shape of a perforated flower, a wooden pickguard shaped like an inverted heart, a wooden saddle and 3 wooden wedges at the bottom of the body for tying the strings.
