Laouto made by Christos Parasidis, 1016 mm in length. It has 8 mechanical keys with round heads made of bone and an equal number of metal strings divided into 4 groups (2+2+2+2). The 2 bottom strings are plain, while the other pairs combine one plain and one wound string. Its body consists of 21 ribs and two side ribs. The instrument has: a bone bridge, a fingerboard with 10 frets, 4 small inlaid disc-shaped finger placement guides made of shell (one of which is larger), plain wooden bindings, 11 straws with "buttons" at both ends (apart from the first), an ellipsoidal sound hole with a rosette, a wooden pickguard and a fixed wooden saddle. The neck is lined with ribs, and the headstock (karaolo) is painted black. The perimeter of the sound hole is decorated with bindings and inlaid geometric elements made of shell and tortoise shell (?). At the base of the top of its body, a piece of leather is glued to protect the wood from contact with the player's hand. The top of the instrument is decorated with a sculpted lion head. A printed paper label is visible inside the body, reading: “ΟΡΓΑΝΟΠΟΙΕΙΟΝ / Χ. Π. Part of this label is covered by a repair document, which is also affixed to the inside of the body. There are empty fields in the form which have not been filled in: “Αριθ. ……… ……… ………
