The front is flattened in the area of the finger holes. The instrument bears dense debossed and engraved decoration consisting of geometric patterns, hearts, birds, flowers, leaves and branches. In addition, in several places there are small inlaid coloured beads. Three engraved inscriptions can be seen on the body of the instrument: "ΒΟΡΙΖΑ", "1988", "ΕΜΦ". The chamfered side of the mouthpiece is covered with a glossy coating, probably varnish.
