Bottle-shaped lyre, 637 mm in length, with 6 main and 6 sympathetic strings, all metal. It has a violin-type headstock with a scroll, 12 wooden keys, a fingerboard and two main "f"-shaped sound holes on the top of its body, as well as 8 secondary, round ones. The 6 main strings pass over the fingerboard and rest on the top of the saddle. The 6 sympathetic strings pass under the fingerboard and then through a corresponding number of holes in the saddle's body. The string holder is made of wood. The instrument has an internal "soul", i.e. a wooden sound post wedged between the top and the back of the instrument.
