Bottle-shaped lyre, 642 mm in length, with 6 main and 6 sympathetic strings, all metal. It has a violin-type headstock with a scroll, 12 wooden keys, a fingerboard and two "f"-shaped sound holes on the top of its body. The 6 main strings pass over the fingerboard, rest on the top of the saddle and are tied to the wooden, violin-type tailpiece. The 6 sympathetic strings pass under the fingerboard, through a corresponding number of holes in the saddle's body and are tied to 6 metal hooks, which protrude from the underside of the tailpiece. On the inside of the body, there is a handwritten label that reads: “Κατ/βή Παντελή Φουρτουνίδη Φαρασιώτη Μ. Ασίας Μουσικό Όργανο Φαράσιων 1967”. The instrument has an internal "soul", i.e. a wooden sound post wedged between the top and the back of the instrument.
