Improvised bouzouki, 763 mm in length. It has a body made out of a gourd, which also takes up most of the neck. It bears dense engraved and painted decoration, consisting of vegetal designs, vegetal patterns, geometric patterns, designs of birds and people (2 female full-length figures, one in ancient Greek dress and a partial design of a man and woman in a frame). It has an engraved inscription reading “Έργον Χρίστου / Πριγκοπούλλου / Αυγόρου 1980”. Considering that parts of other designs and of an inscription can be seen on the edges of the gourd, we assume that the decorated gourd was originally a separate work of art, which was cut in half to create the musical instrument. The bouzouki has various wooden parts: top, fingerboard, pickguard, a rudimentary saddle, string holder with 6 metal nails, headstock with holes for 6 keys and a hole to hang the instrument, through which a thread has been tied. The top of its body has a large central hole surrounded by 5 smaller ones. The top is decorated with a painted vegetal pattern and applied, shiny spangles and sequins of various colours.
