Mandolin made by Fotis Avgeris, with a string length of 332 mm. It has 8 mechanical keys with bone round heads and an equal number of metal strings divided into 4 pairs (2+2+2+2). The 4 thinner strings are plain, while the rest are wound. Its body is made of ebony and consists of 27 ribs and 2 side ribs. The instrument has: a bone bridge, an ebony fingerboard with 24 frets and 8 inlaid finger placement guides made of shell, plain wooden and plastic bindings, an ellipsoidal sound hole, a pickguard in tortoise shell imitation with vegetal decoration made of shell and plastic, a wooden saddle with bone and a metal string holder with an opening cap. The two metal plates of the mechanical keys are densely engraved with vegetal designs. On the inside of the body, there is a printed paper label that reads: “Κατασκευή / ΦΩΤΗΣ ΑΥΓΕΡΗΣ / Λυκούργου 10 / ΑΘΗΝΑΙ”, as well as the stamp imprint: “Φ. ΑΥΓΕΡΗΣ”.
