Indian sitar, 1245 mm in length. It has 7 large and 13 small keys (violin-type) decorated with bone, 20 metal tubular curved metal frets and bone saddles. It has inlaid bone sections with dense engraved coloured decoration including designs of plants and birds, vegetal and geometric patterns. The body and the top are decorated with vegetal designs in relief. On the upper part of the fingerboard, there is an engraved, coloured inscription reading: “N. C. NATH / VARANASI INDIA”. It is accompanied by a case resembling a suitcase, with a paper label on the inside, reading: “RIKHI RAM / MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS MANUFACTURING Co. / [8]-A. MARINA ARCADE / CONNAUGHT CIRCUS / NEW DELHI.”.
