Clay toubeleki, 463 mm in length. It has two skin membranes, one at the top and one at the bottom. The membranes are attached to the perimeter of the instrument with hoops connected by a rope, which creates a grid on the outside of the instrument. This elaborate binding not only stabilises the membranes, but also regulates their tension. It is decorated with painted mythical figures of snakes, beetles and humans, and numerous geometric patterns and symbols.
