Unique outi with 10 strings, divided into 5 groups (2-2-2-2-2). The first 2 lower groups consist of pairs of simple metal strings. The other three consist of pairs of metal wound strings. The body of the instrument resembles the shape of the Greek laouto and is made with 21 two-toned ribs and two side ribs, without bindings. The top consists of 2 parts and is equipped with a plastic pickguard and 3 sound holes. Wooden inlaid mosaic decoration (marquetry) can be seen along their perimeter. The perimeter of the top is lined with plastic bindings (white and black). The fingerboard is additional, made of ebony and overlapping the top (except for the first part where it enters the upper part of top). The tuning mechanisms (keys) are inserted into the headstock from the two sides and they may not be the original ones, as they come from 4 different sets. The upper saddle is made of bone. The lower saddle is made of wood and glued to the top (fixed). The neck is lined with 9 two-toned ribs, without bindings. Two printed paper labels are glued inside the body. One bears the manufacturer's photograph and its bottom is covered by the second label, which reads: "ΚΑΠΟΥΔΑΓΛΗ / ΗΛΙΑ ΚΑΝΑΚΗ / ΟΔΟΣ ΜΑΡΑΘΩΝΟΣ ΑΡΙΘ. 66Β / (ΣΥΝΟΙΚΙΣΜΟΣ ΧΑΡΙΛΑΟΥ) / ΘΕΣΣΑΛΟΝΙΚΗ". Above the central sound hole, there are two small holes and imprints indicating the placement of an electrical sound amplification device ("magnet"). The cable was inserted into a special socket fitted to a hole that can be sees today on the “U”-shaped rib of the instrument.
